| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Superintendent's Student Advisory |

| 3 | 3 | | Council for the Frisco Independent School District are visiting |

| 4 | 4 | | the State Capitol on March 7, 2023; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The council was established by former Frisco ISD |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | superintendent Dr. Rick Reedy during the 2005-2006 school year |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | to provide students with a voice in the operation of the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | district; members of the group are selected by the principals of |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | each Frisco ISD high school, providing well-rounded |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | representation of the district's high school student body; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Among its many accomplishments over the years, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the council was instrumental in the development of a new policy |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | related to student grade point averages in the district; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Superintendent's Student |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Advisory Council have demonstrated initiative, dedication, and a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | commitment to making Frisco ISD the best it can be, and they are |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | setting an outstanding example for their peers; now, therefore, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | be it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature, hereby recognize the members of the Frisco ISD |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Superintendent's Student Advisory Council on the occasion of their |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | visit to the State Capitol and extend to them sincere best wishes |

| 23 | 23 | | for success in all their future endeavors; and, be it further |
