2- WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert L. Hurley retired as
3- Atascosa County judge on December 31, 2022, following an
4- exemplary eight-year tenure in office; and
5- WHEREAS, Elected to the first of two terms on January 1,
6- 2015, Judge Hurley worked tirelessly to bring positive change to
7- the county, including numerous capital improvements; the county
8- built a much-needed animal control shelter, as well as a new
9- office building for the Precinct 3 justice of the peace,
10- featuring a revenue-generating truck weigh station; a new
11- courthouse annex not only relieved crowding, but anticipates
12- future growth; and

6+ WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert L. Hurley retired as Atascosa
7+ County judge on December 31, 2022, following an exemplary

9+ WHEREAS, Elected to the first of two terms on January 1, 2015,
10+ Judge Hurley worked tirelessly to bring positive change to the
11+ county, including numerous capital improvements; the county built a
12+ much-needed animal control shelter, as well as a new office
13+ building for the Precinct 3 justice of the peace, featuring a
14+ revenue-generating truck weigh station; a new courthouse annex not
15+ only relieved crowding, but anticipates future growth; and

31- counties; the juvenile detention center now has a rehab treatment

40- Commerce named him Man of the Year; and

45- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
46- Legislature, hereby congratulate Bob Hurley on his retirement as
47- Atascosa County judge and extend to him sincere best wishes for
48- continued happiness with his wife, June, and his children,
49- grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and, be it further

46+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
