No. 322 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Donna Jenschke is retiring as principal of Ingram Elementary School at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, drawing to a close an exemplary career in public education that has spanned nearly four decades; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Jenschke began her career 38 years ago as a teacher in the Kerrville Independent School District, and she went on to serve at a number of other schools in the district, including Fred H. Tally Elementary School, where she was assistant principal, and B. T. Wilson Sixth Grade School, where she was principal; in 2010, she was appointed principal of Hal Peterson Middle School, and during her tenure there, the school earned recognition from the Texas Business and Education Coalition and was named an exemplary campus by the Texas Education Agency for six years in a row; and WHEREAS, In 2017, Mrs. Jenschke joined Ingram ISD as the principal of Ingram Elementary, and under her able leadership, the school has successfully implemented a number of programs that have significantly enhanced the overall performance of the school and its students; and WHEREAS, This esteemed educator holds a bachelor's degree in education from Angelo State University and a master's degree in education leadership from Texas Tech University; though she plans on returning to Ingram Elementary as a part-time administrator, retirement will afford her more time to spend with her husband, Bruce, and her two sons, Brady and Tyler; and WHEREAS, Over the course of her remarkable career, Donna Jenschke has made a positive difference in the lives of countless young Texans, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her exceptional record of achievement as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Donna Jenschke on her retirement as principal of Ingram Elementary School and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Jenschke as an expression of high regard by the Texas Senate.
