2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Donna Jenschke is retiring as principal of Ingram |

3 | 3 | | Elementary School at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, |
---|
4 | 4 | | drawing to a close an exemplary career in public education that |
---|
5 | 5 | | has spanned nearly four decades; and |
---|
6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Jenschke began her career 38 years ago as a |
---|
7 | 7 | | teacher in the Kerrville Independent School District, and she |
---|
8 | 8 | | went on to serve at a number of other schools in the district, |
---|
9 | 9 | | including Fred H. Tally Elementary School, where she was |
---|
10 | 10 | | assistant principal, and B. T. Wilson Sixth Grade School, where |
---|
11 | 11 | | she was principal; in 2010, she was appointed principal of Hal |
---|
12 | 12 | | Peterson Middle School, and during her tenure there, the school |
---|
13 | 13 | | earned recognition from the Texas Business and Education |
---|
14 | 14 | | Coalition and was named an exemplary campus by the Texas |
---|
15 | 15 | | Education Agency for six years in a row; and |
---|
16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In 2017, Mrs. Jenschke joined Ingram ISD as the |
---|
17 | 17 | | principal of Ingram Elementary, and under her able leadership, |
---|
18 | 18 | | the school has successfully implemented a number of programs that |
---|
19 | 19 | | have significantly enhanced the overall performance of the |
---|
20 | 20 | | school and its students; and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed educator holds a bachelor's degree |
---|
22 | 22 | | in education from Angelo State University and a master's degree |
---|
23 | 23 | | in education leadership from Texas Tech University; though she |
---|
24 | 24 | | plans on returning to Ingram Elementary as a part-time |
---|
25 | 25 | | administrator, retirement will afford her more time to spend with |
---|
26 | 26 | | her husband, Bruce, and her two sons, Brady and Tyler; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of her remarkable career, Donna |
---|
28 | 28 | | Jenschke has made a positive difference in the lives of countless |
---|
29 | 29 | | young Texans, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her |
---|
30 | 30 | | exceptional record of achievement as she embarks on the next |
---|
31 | 31 | | exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it |
---|
32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
---|
33 | 33 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Donna Jenschke on her |
---|
34 | 34 | | retirement as principal of Ingram Elementary School and extend to |
---|
35 | 35 | | her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
---|
36 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |

37 | 37 | | prepared for Mrs. Jenschke as an expression of high regard from |
