| 3 | 3 | | Housing Providers are gathering at the State Capitol on March 21, |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1997, TAAHP is a leading advocate and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | resource for the affordable housing industry in Texas; the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | organization represents industry professionals involved in the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | financing, development, and management of affordable housing |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | communities in the state, with the goal of increasing the supply |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and quality of affordable housing for those with limited incomes |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and special needs; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, TAAHP is made up of a wide range of industry |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | professionals, including attorneys, accountants, developers, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | investors, property management companies, housing finance |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | corporations, government entities, and other housing advocates; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | each year, its membership produces thousands of award-winning |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | affordable housing communities with state-of-the-art designs, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | amenities, and resident services; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to ending |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the affordable housing crisis in Texas, TAAHP continues to play |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | an important role in bettering the quality of life for many |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | citizens of the Lone Star State, and the organization's members |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | may indeed reflect with pride on their achievements; now, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby recognize March 21, 2023, as Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers Day at the State |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting delegation; |
