| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | join realtors and Texans across the state in celebrating |

| 4 | 4 | | March 22, 2023, as Texas Realtors Day at the State Capitol; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Association of Realtors, known as Texas |

| 6 | 6 | | Realtors, has more than 150,000 members; it is the largest |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | professional association in Texas, and its members are engaged in |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | every aspect of the state's diverse real estate interests, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | including farm and ranch real estate, property management, and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | international, residential, and commercial real estate; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Real estate and housing are essential to state and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | local economies; property purchases lead to jobs in the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | construction industry, and each transaction contributes to the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | growth and prosperity of our local communities; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The members of Texas Realtors across the state |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | adhere to a strict code of ethics that demands competence, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fairness, and integrity in carrying out their profession; as the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Texas housing market experiences unprecedented demand, Texas |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | real estate professionals demonstrate an impressive ability to |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | adapt to changing conditions so that Texans can continue to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | attain their goal of home ownership; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, During sessions of the Texas Legislature, members |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of Texas Realtors traditionally convene at the Capitol to meet |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | with elected officials to discuss issues that are critical to the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Texas real estate industry; it is indeed fitting that a day be set |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | aside to honor Texas Realtors; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Texas Association |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of Realtors on their many contributions to our state's prosperity |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | and extend to them a warm welcome and best wishes on the occasion |

| 31 | 31 | | of Texas Realtors Day at the Capitol; and, be it further |
