|---|

| 10 | 14 | | among members of the neurological and allied scientific |
|---|
| 11 | 15 | | professions; and |

| 12 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Committed to excellence in neurological practice |

| 13 | 17 | | and education, the society seeks to encourage interest in |

| 14 | 18 | | neurology among graduates in medicine and to promote and uphold |
|---|
| 15 | 19 | | the ethical principles, policies, and practices for attaining |
|---|
| 16 | 20 | | the highest-quality of patient care; the society also enables |
|---|
| 17 | 21 | | contact and communication among members of the profession and |
|---|
| 18 | 22 | | provides the opportunity for engagement and discourse that |

| 19 | 23 | | serves to benefit and advance neurological sciences in Texas; and |

| 20 | 24 | | WHEREAS, For almost 50 years, the Texas Neurological |
|---|
| 21 | 25 | | Society and its members have diligently worked to advance the |
|---|
| 22 | 26 | | field of neurology in Texas and have served as devoted advocates |
|---|
| 23 | 27 | | for patients by supporting the development and delivery of |
|---|
| 24 | 28 | | quality neurological care; it is indeed fitting that all who |
|---|
| 25 | 29 | | contribute to the society and its efforts receive special |
|---|
| 26 | 30 | | recognition on their valuable contributions to the health and |
|---|
| 27 | 31 | | well-being of Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |

| 29 | 33 | | Legislature, hereby recognize April 4, 2023, as Texas |

| 30 | 34 | | Neurological Society Day and extend to the society's members and |

| 31 | 35 | | all in attendance best wishes for a productive and enjoyable |
