| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | welcome Pastor Obed Obeng-Addae to Dallas, where he will be |

| 4 | 4 | | honored at a reception on April 12, 2023; and |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Obed Obeng-Addae has worked in Christian |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | ministry for more than two decades and presides over Christ |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Cosmopolitan Incorporated and its network of churches in Africa |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and Europe; he also serves as chief executive officer of the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Cosmopolitan TV Network, and through his ministry delivers |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | encouraging messages of faith and healing to his congregation and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | listeners; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, An accomplished theologian and scholar, Pastor |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Obed holds a bachelor of science degree in geodetic engineering, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | a master's degree in business administration, and doctorate |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | degrees in apologetics and in prophetic and eschatological |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | hermeneutics; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A man of wisdom, determination, and strength, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Pastor Obed is a respected leader and minister as well as a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | devoted husband and father; it is indeed fitting that he receive |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | special recognition and a heartfelt welcome to the City of Dallas |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and to the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend Pastor Obed Obeng-Addae for his many |

| 24 | 24 | | positive contributions to society and extend to him best wishes |

| 25 | 25 | | for continued success in his ministry and in all of his |
