56 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
6- commemorates the life of Patricia Carla Rogers, who died on
7- March 30, 2023, at the age of 63; and

89 WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and
910 generosity of Patti Rogers, whose rich and meaningful life was
1011 filled with gratitude, love, and joyful purpose; led by her
1112 servant's heart, she faithfully served as a teacher, role model,
1213 and mentor to many and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother,
1314 and friend; and
1415 WHEREAS, Born on January 23, 1960, Patricia Rogers was an
1516 exemplary Texas citizen and an esteemed member of her community;
1617 she led a rewarding career as an educator for three decades, and
1718 she served as an elementary school teacher in the Birdville and
1819 Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School Districts, where she
1920 was respected and admired by her students and colleagues; and
20- WHEREAS, Truly dedicated to her calling in education and in
21- serving others, Patti made a positive difference in the lives of
22- innumerable schoolchildren, teachers, and families through her
23- compassionate encouragement and her skillful guidance as an

2930 WHEREAS, Patti was a devoted wife and mother and a
3031 cherished daughter, sister, and grandmother; she raised her
3132 children by loving, faithful example, and they were a source of
3233 great pride and joy in her life; Patti was also blessed with
3334 grandchildren, whom she adored, and who enriched her life
3435 immeasurably; a dear friend to so many, Patti played an integral
3536 role in the lives of her loved ones, and she was a source of
3637 inspiration and light in the lives of those around her; and
3738 WHEREAS, A woman of loyalty, strength, and grace, Patti's
3839 bright and joyous spirit was appreciated by all who knew her, and
3940 her contributions to her community and to the field of elementary
4041 education in Texas leave a lasting legacy of excellence and
4142 service; her love for her family and her dedication to serving
4243 others will not be forgotten, and her memory will be forever
4344 treasured by her family and by all who were privileged to share in
4445 her life; now, therefore, be it
4546 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
4647 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
4748 family of Patricia Carla Rogers; and, be it further
4849 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
4950 her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
5051 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
5152 memory of Patti Rogers.
