5	5	WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
6	6	memories of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso of
7	7	Corpus Christi, who shared nearly seven decades of marriage; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Frank Kelso was born in Bellville on September 20,
9	9	1936, and the former Alice Boyle was born the following year in
10	10	Dumas on November 23; they met at church and married when he was
11	11	17 and she 16; and
12	12	WHEREAS, The Kelsos were blessed with four children,
13	13	Sheri, Frank, Keith, and Jo, and through the years, their
14	14	treasured family grew to include seven grandchildren and 13
15	15	great-grandchildren; and
16	16	WHEREAS, Employed for 26 years as a game warden for the
17	17	State of Texas, Mr. Kelso rose to become a district supervisor,
18	18	and his career highlights included the capture and release of
19	19	Bubba, the javelina; following his retirement in 1993, he enjoyed
20	20	spending time out in his shop, teaching his grandchildren to hunt
21	21	and fish, and regaling them with tales of his game warden
22	22	adventures; he had a gift for teaching, and he was always ready to
23	23	lend a helping hand to family and friends; Mrs. Kelso took great
24	24	pleasure in caring for her home and family; a wonderful cook, she
25	25	always made sure no one left their home hungry; and
26	26	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kelso were inseparable in life, and
27	27	they died but a few days apart; Mr. Kelso passed away on January
28	28	9, 2023, at the age of 86, and Mrs. Kelso followed on January 13,
29	29	2023, at the age of 85; and
30	30	WHEREAS, Although Frank and Alice Kelso are deeply missed,
31	31	their tremendous devotion to each other will forever remain a
32	32	source of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know
33	33	them; now, therefore, be it
34	34	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
35	35	Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the lives of Frank Aulston
36	36	Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso and extend sincere condolences to
37	37	the members of their family: to their son, Frank Allen Kelso, and
38	38	his wife, Maricela Kelso; to the daughter of their heart, Yolanda
39	39	Kelso, and her husband, Jim Rogers; to their son-in-law, Adam
40	40	Adamez; to their grandchildren, Nina Kelso Saunders and her
41	41	husband, Ryan, Kelsey Kelso Bjork and her husband, Ron, Frank
42	42	Allen Kelso Jr., Keith Clay Kelso Jr. and his wife, Esperanza,
43	43	Matthew Kelso and his wife, Kimberly, Dusty Adams Sullivan and
44	44	her husband, James, Zach Adams and his wife, Britton; to their
45	45	great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Griffin Saunders, Camila,
46	46	Scarlett, Addison, and James Clay Kelso, Haley, Emma, Alice, and
47	47	Frazier Sullivan, and Holly, Cody, and Mason Adams; to
48	48	Mrs. Kelso's siblings, Lynn Boyle Roque, Patrick Boyle and his
49	49	wife, Janice, and John Anthony Boyle and his wife, Diane; and to
50	50	their many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
51	51	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
52	52	prepared for their family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
53	53	this day, it do so in memory of Frank and Alice Kelso.
