55 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
66 memories of Frank Aulston Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso of
77 Corpus Christi, who shared nearly seven decades of marriage; and
88 WHEREAS, Frank Kelso was born in Bellville on September 20,
99 1936, and the former Alice Boyle was born the following year in
1010 Dumas on November 23; they met at church and married when he was
1111 17 and she 16; and
1212 WHEREAS, The Kelsos were blessed with four children,
1313 Sheri, Frank, Keith, and Jo, and through the years, their
1414 treasured family grew to include seven grandchildren and 13
1515 great-grandchildren; and
1616 WHEREAS, Employed for 26 years as a game warden for the
1717 State of Texas, Mr. Kelso rose to become a district supervisor,
1818 and his career highlights included the capture and release of
1919 Bubba, the javelina; following his retirement in 1993, he enjoyed
2020 spending time out in his shop, teaching his grandchildren to hunt
2121 and fish, and regaling them with tales of his game warden
2222 adventures; he had a gift for teaching, and he was always ready to
2323 lend a helping hand to family and friends; Mrs. Kelso took great
2424 pleasure in caring for her home and family; a wonderful cook, she
2525 always made sure no one left their home hungry; and
2626 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kelso were inseparable in life, and
2727 they died but a few days apart; Mr. Kelso passed away on January
2828 9, 2023, at the age of 86, and Mrs. Kelso followed on January 13,
2929 2023, at the age of 85; and
3030 WHEREAS, Although Frank and Alice Kelso are deeply missed,
3131 their tremendous devotion to each other will forever remain a
3232 source of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know
3333 them; now, therefore, be it
3434 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
3535 Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the lives of Frank Aulston
3636 Kelso and Alice Sue Boyle Kelso and extend sincere condolences to
3737 the members of their family: to their son, Frank Allen Kelso, and
3838 his wife, Maricela Kelso; to the daughter of their heart, Yolanda
3939 Kelso, and her husband, Jim Rogers; to their son-in-law, Adam
4040 Adamez; to their grandchildren, Nina Kelso Saunders and her
4141 husband, Ryan, Kelsey Kelso Bjork and her husband, Ron, Frank
4242 Allen Kelso Jr., Keith Clay Kelso Jr. and his wife, Esperanza,
4343 Matthew Kelso and his wife, Kimberly, Dusty Adams Sullivan and
4444 her husband, James, Zach Adams and his wife, Britton; to their
4545 great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Griffin Saunders, Camila,
4646 Scarlett, Addison, and James Clay Kelso, Haley, Emma, Alice, and
4747 Frazier Sullivan, and Holly, Cody, and Mason Adams; to
4848 Mrs. Kelso's siblings, Lynn Boyle Roque, Patrick Boyle and his
4949 wife, Janice, and John Anthony Boyle and his wife, Diane; and to
5050 their many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
5151 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
5252 prepared for their family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
5353 this day, it do so in memory of Frank and Alice Kelso.
