2	6		WHEREAS, Catherine Gibb is being honored for her exemplary
3		-	leadership and contributions to the Collin County Republican
4		-	~~Party~~ at an appreciation reception hosted by Plano Republican
5		-	~~Women on~~ April 14, 2023; and
	7	+	leadership and contributions to the Collin County Republican Party
	8	+	at an appreciation reception hosted by Plano Republican Women on
	9	+	April 14, 2023; and
6	10		WHEREAS, Catherine Gibb was appointed primary election
7	11		administrator for the Collin County GOP in 2006 and has held that
8		-	title for 17 years; in addition, she has served the organization
9		-	as a precinct chair and vice chair; and
	12	+	title for 17 years; in addition, she has served the organization as
	13	+	a precinct chair and vice chair; and
10	14		WHEREAS, Mrs. Gibb is the longest-serving president in the
11		-	history of Plano Republican Women, and she has also served the
12		-	~~Texas~~ Federation of Republican Women as District Director of
13		-	~~Senate~~ District 8, earning many accolades, including the TFRW 10
	15	+	history of Plano Republican Women, and she has also served the Texas
	16	+	Federation of Republican Women as District Director of Senate
	17	+	District 8, earning many accolades, including the TFRW 10
14	18		Outstanding Award; and
15	19		WHEREAS, Mrs. Gibb shared a beautiful marriage with her
16	20		husband, the late Jim Gibb, that spanned more than three decades
17		-	before his passing in 2022; she takes great pride in her
18		-	stepsons, Michael and Matthew Gibb, and in her grandson, Hayden
19		-	Gibb; and
20		-	WHEREAS, Catherine Gibb has contributed to the success of
21		-	the Republican Party in Collin County, and she has earned the
22		-	lasting respect and admiration of all who are privileged to know
23		-	her; now, therefore, be it
24		-	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
25		-	Legislature, hereby recognize Catherine Gibb for her service to
26		-	the Collin County Republican Party and extend to her sincere best
27		-	wishes for the future; and, be it further

29		-	prepared for Mrs. Gibb as an expression of high regard from the
