| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | commemorates the life of Robert Charles Dominguez, who died on |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | January 2, 2022, at the age of 55; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Robert Charles Dominguez was born on February 19, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1966, in Rockport; from a young age, Robert felt called to help |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | others and envisioned dedicating his life to serving the greater |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | good; he became a game warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Department to fulfill his calling; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, For more than 30 years, Robert watched over our |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | state's wildlife and natural resources, doing his best to ensure |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | that those who love the beauty of the outdoors in Texas had safe and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | enjoyable experiences in nature; throughout the course of his |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | faithful service, Robert rescued numerous people from accidents |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and natural disasters, and he forged lasting friendships with |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | colleagues and with many of the people he met through his work; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, A courageous man who was respected and admired by |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | his colleagues and friends for his generous spirit as well as for |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | his many heroic acts, Robert received recognition for his |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | distinguished service and accomplishments, including being named |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the Coastal Conservation Association Game Warden of the Year for |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | South Texas by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 2015; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Robert was a source of inspiration to the members |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | of his community, and his warmth and positive outlook on life |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | will not be forgotten by those who were blessed to share in his |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | life; left to treasure his memory are his beloved wife, Shelley; |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | their three sons, Scott, Nick, and Joel; his loving siblings; and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | his many nieces and nephews; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | family of Robert Charles Dominguez; and, be it further |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |

| 36 | 36 | | his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |

| 37 | 37 | | Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
