| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | join Bikers Against Child Abuse, Incorporated, in celebrating |

| 4 | 4 | | the last weekend of April of 2023 as B.A.C.A. Heroes Weekend in |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | Texas; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Bikers Against Child Abuse is an international |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | healing to children who have been abused; these children are |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | known among the organization's members as heroes; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, This exemplary organization has instituted a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | number of initiatives to champion the survivors of child abuse, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | notably its adoption ceremonies at which a child who has been |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | abused is brought into the Bikers Against Child Abuse family; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, It is truly fitting that a weekend be set aside to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | pay tribute to the bravery and determination shown by children |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | who have experienced abuse in facing and overcoming their trauma; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Legislature, hereby commend the members of Bikers Against Child |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Abuse, Incorporated, on their important work and their |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | commitment to supporting the survivors of child abuse and extend |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to them best wishes for a successful B.A.C.A. Heroes Weekend; |
