| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize de Sanchez Spa and Salon, an outstanding Texas business |

| 4 | 4 | | that has provided exceptional service in the South Rio Grande |

| 5 | 5 | | Valley for the past 25 years; and |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Located in McAllen, de Sanchez Spa and Salon |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | opened in 1998 and introduced the first full-service salon and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | spa in the McAllen area; owners David and Dora Jean Sanchez |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | envisioned a range of amenities and services offered under one |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | roof, and their vision for an all-inclusive spa and salon was |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | embraced by the McAllen community and met with great success; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Due to its popularity, the spa quickly developed |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the need for a larger space to meet demand, and the business now |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | operates out of an 8,400-square-foot facility located near the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Arts District in downtown McAllen; the spa offers customers a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | variety of services and treatments, including massage therapy, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | skin care, hair and nail care, and access to a sauna, steam room, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and jacuzzi; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Renowned for its excellent professional services |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and tranquil setting, de Sanchez Spa and Salon offers the area's |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | residents and visitors the highest quality of personal care and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | technical expertise, and it is indeed fitting that this exemplary |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | business receive special recognition on 25 years of service to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the McAllen community; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature, hereby commend the owners and staff of de Sanchez |

| 27 | 27 | | Spa and Salon on their outstanding contributions to McAllen and |

| 28 | 28 | | the South Rio Grande Valley and extend to them best wishes for the |
