| 4 | 4 | | which recently won the Class 4A small-school championship title; |

| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Robstown Lady Pickers were victorious in |

| 7 | 7 | | their appearance at the 2023 Texas High School Women's |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Powerlifting Association meet in Frisco; these young athletes |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | have demonstrated great talent and perseverance throughout the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | school year, resulting in four first-place performances at the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | state championship contest; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Under the inspiring leadership and expertise of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the Robstown High School powerlifting coaches and with the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | assistance of managers and trainers, the Lady Pickers have |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | developed exceptional teamwork and discipline; team members |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Jozannah Rodriguez, Olivia Morales, Leaya Alaniz, and Janessa |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Vela captured first-place finishes while Amelynne Olguin and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Jamie Casas took home silver medals; and |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Robstown High School and the City of Robstown are |

| 20 | 20 | | proud of the Lady Pickers for their hard work, their impressive |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | skills, and their fine sportsmanship; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature, hereby commend the players, coaches, and staff of |

| 24 | 24 | | the Robstown High School girls' powerlifting team on their |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | successful season and congratulate them on winning the 2023 Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | High School Women's Powerlifting Association Class 4A |
