8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Cecil W. LeStourgeon and Annette Teich |
---|
9 | 10 | | LeStourgeon, Tony LeStourgeon was born in San Antonio on March 1, |

10 | 11 | | 1970, and he grew up in Bandera with the companionship of his |

11 | 12 | | sisters, Connie, Lori, and Donna; he graduated from Medina High |

13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, |

14 | 15 | | Mr. LeStourgeon served in the U.S. Army for 11 years; after |

15 | | - | completing his basic training, he became a light infantryman in |

16 | | - | the 7th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, California; he went on to |
---|
17 | | - | attend the Jungle Operations Training Center at Fort Sherman, |
---|
18 | | - | Panama, and he served with the Alpha Gators and Rakkasans at Fort |

19 | | - | Campbell, Kentucky; he completed tours in Korea and Saudi Arabia, |

20 | | - | and he subsequently accepted a position as a recruiter in |

21 | | - | Phoenix, Arizona; returning to the infantry field, he served with |

22 | | - | the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York, before |
---|
23 | | - | concluding his tenure with the military; his honors included an |

24 | | - | Expert Infantry Badge as well as several Commendation Medals; and |
