26 WHEREAS, The AG Youth of Texas Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ
37 Cook-Off is taking place in San Antonio on May 5 and 6, 2023; and
4- WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as
5- one of the organization's annual state championship cook-offs,
6- this much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across
7- Texas and beyond; these highly skilled pitmasters put their
8- culinary abilities to the test as they vie to produce the
9- tastiest entries in several different categories; and
8+ WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one
9+ of the organization's annual state championship cook-offs, this
10+ much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas
11+ and beyond; these highly skilled pitmasters put their culinary
12+ abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest entries in
13+ several different categories; and
1014 WHEREAS, The event's grand champion will receive an
1115 invitation to the American Royal World Series of Barbecue contest
1216 as well as a chance to compete at the Jack Daniel's Championship
1317 Invitational Barbecue competition; and
14- WHEREAS, The Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ Cook-Off serves as
15- a fundraiser for AG Youth of Texas, a nonprofit organization that
16- supports local youth in their livestock and agricultural
17- mechanics projects; and
18- WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and
19- the Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ Cook-Off is sure to offer good food
20- and good times to everyone in attendance; now, therefore, be it
21- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
22- Legislature, hereby commemorate the AG Youth of Texas Lots,
23- Stock, & Barrows BBQ Cook-Off and extend to the organizers,
24- contestants, and attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and
25- successful event; and, be it further
18+ WHEREAS, The Lots, Stock, & Barrows BBQ Cook-Off serves as a
19+ fundraiser for AG Youth of Texas, a nonprofit organization that
20+ supports local youth in their livestock and agricultural mechanics
21+ projects; and
22+ WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the

25+ RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
