| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Thomas McGaha is retiring from Texas Health and |

| 3 | 3 | | Human Services on April 30, 2023, drawing to a close an |

| 4 | 4 | | outstanding career with the State of Texas that has spanned over |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | two decades; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, First joining HHS more than nine years ago, Tom |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | McGaha became an audit coordinator in January 2016; he has served |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | in the compliance division since its creation in September 2019, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | and over the course of his exemplary tenure, he has maintained a |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | full load of coordination projects and has utilized his extensive |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | audit experience to improve project resolution outcomes; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. McGaha previously worked for the Texas |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Department of Aging and Disability Services Office of Internal |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Audit and served as a project manager in the Texas Department of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Insurance Internal Audit Office; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Through his professionalism, dedication, and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | commitment to excellence, Tom McGaha has earned the respect and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | admiration of his colleagues, and he may indeed reflect with |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | pride on a career well spent as he begins the next exciting |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Thomas McGaha on his retirement |

| 23 | 23 | | from Texas Health and Human Services and extend to him sincere |

| 24 | 24 | | best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
