| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Through their swift and decisive actions, three |

| 3 | 3 | | Alvin Independent School District employees played a critical |

| 4 | 4 | | role in rescuing individuals from the wreckage of a traffic |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | collision on February 17, 2022; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Early that morning, Alvin ISD bus driver Tanya |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Moore and her two passengers, bus monitors Dustin Carrillo and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Jesse Neace, drove up to the scene of a major accident on Highway 6; |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | within seconds of their arrival, multiple vehicles involved in the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | pileup collision had burst into flames; Ms. Moore immediately |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | called for emergency help, while Mr. Carrillo and Mr. Neace left |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the bus and sprinted toward the pileup; the Alvin ISD employees |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | pulled the victims from the wreckage within 90 seconds, before any |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | professional first responders had arrived; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In recognition of the courage and heroism they |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | displayed that day, Ms. Moore, Mr. Carrillo, and Mr. Neace were |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | honored by Alvin ISD in an official ceremony; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Tanya Moore, Dustin Carrillo, and Jesse Neace |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | bravely put themselves in harm's way to save the lives of others, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and in so doing, they have distinguished themselves as exemplary |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | members of the Alvin Independent School District and the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | community at large; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commend Tanya Moore, Dustin Carrillo, and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Jesse Neace for their lifesaving actions on February 17, 2022, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
