55 R E S O L U T I O N
66 WHEREAS, The passing of Officer Lisa Clark of the Denton
77 County Sheriff's Office on October 19, 2022, has deeply saddened
88 her family and her many friends; and
99 WHEREAS, Ms. Clark first joined Denton County in February
1010 1999 as a court clerk for the Precinct 1 justice of the peace, where
1111 she worked until transferring to the sheriff's office as a
1212 detention officer in October 2006; over the course of her 16-year
1313 tenure, she served as a front desk clerk for the night shift and as a
1414 member of the classifications division; she held an intermediate
1515 jailer certificate; and
1616 WHEREAS, A dedicated employee who took pride in her work,
1717 Officer Clark was a generous and warm-hearted colleague, and she
1818 brightened the days of her coworkers with her ready smile and sunny
1919 disposition; and
2020 WHEREAS, Although Ms. Clark is greatly missed, she will long
2121 be fondly remembered by those individuals whose lives were touched
2222 by her affection and friendship; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
2424 hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lisa Clark and extend heartfelt
2525 sympathy to her family, her friends, and her colleagues; and, be it
2626 further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
2929 day, it do so in memory of Lisa Clark.
