| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The passing of Officer Lisa Clark of the Denton |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | County Sheriff's Office on October 19, 2022, has deeply saddened |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | her family and her many friends; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Clark first joined Denton County in February |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1999 as a court clerk for the Precinct 1 justice of the peace, where |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | she worked until transferring to the sheriff's office as a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | detention officer in October 2006; over the course of her 16-year |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | tenure, she served as a front desk clerk for the night shift and as a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | member of the classifications division; she held an intermediate |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | jailer certificate; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A dedicated employee who took pride in her work, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Officer Clark was a generous and warm-hearted colleague, and she |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | brightened the days of her coworkers with her ready smile and sunny |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | disposition; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Although Ms. Clark is greatly missed, she will long |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | be fondly remembered by those individuals whose lives were touched |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | by her affection and friendship; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lisa Clark and extend heartfelt |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | sympathy to her family, her friends, and her colleagues; and, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | further |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | day, it do so in memory of Lisa Clark. |
