| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Established in 2012, SHAIP offers students an |

| 7 | 7 | | opportunity to learn about the legislative process and to gain |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | valuable experience while putting their skills and knowledge to |

| 9 | 9 | | work; each participant is placed in a legislative office, where |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | they work full-time over the course of the legislative session |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and handle a range of important responsibilities; students |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | selected for this prestigious program earn academic credit while |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | building their resumes and professional networks; and |

| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This year's class of interns includes Morgan |

| 15 | 15 | | Robertson and Jessica Cuevas in the office of State Senator |

| 16 | 16 | | Charles Schwertner, Yvette Mendoza in the office of State |

| 17 | 17 | | Representative Will Metcalf, Ingrid Cuero in the office of State |

| 18 | 18 | | Senator Bryan Hughes, Ashlyn Parker in the office of State |

| 19 | 19 | | Representative J. M. Lozano, Jayelynn Bordeaux in the office of |
