5	5	WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt
6	6	at the loss of Rojelio Fernandez Torres of Uvalde, who passed
7	7	away on May 24, 2022, at the age of 10; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Rojelio Torres was born in Uvalde on December 6,
9	9	2011, to Federico Torres Jr. and Evadulia Orta; he grew up with
10	10	the companionship of two sisters, Sara and Mary, and a brother,
11	11	Federico, and he was surrounded by the love of many grandparents,
12	12	aunts, uncles, and cousins as well; and
13	13	WHEREAS, An outgoing and kind-hearted young boy, Rojelio
14	14	was always smiling and eager to help others; he enjoyed being
15	15	outdoors and pursued a number of hobbies; among his favorites
16	16	were playing football and video games; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Although Rojelio Torres is greatly missed, his
18	18	loved ones were blessed beyond measure by his presence in their
19	19	lives, and they will forever carry his memory close in their
20	20	hearts; now, therefore, be it
21	21	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
22	22	Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Rojelio Fernandez
23	23	Torres and extend profound condolences to the members of his
24	24	family: to his parents, Federico Torres Jr. and Evadulia Orta; to
25	25	his grandparents, Evadulia Fernandez, Jose Alfredo Orta and
26	26	Veronica Ibarra, and Teresa Barboza; to his great-grandparents,
27	27	Teresa Cabello and Rogelio De Leon; to his siblings, Sara Lee
28	28	Torres, Mary Fernandez Torres, and Federico Orta Torres III; to
29	29	his aunts, Precious Perez and her husband, Daniel Arredondo,
30	30	Eoudulia Orta and her husband, Isal Sanchez, and Veronica Orta;
31	31	to his other relatives and friends; and to the countless others
32	32	in Uvalde and beyond who mourn his passing; and, be it further
33	33	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
34	34	prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
35	35	this day, it do so in memory of Rojelio Fernandez Torres.
