5	5	WHEREAS, The family and friends of Maite Yuleana Rodriguez
6	6	of Uvalde suffered a heartbreaking loss with the passing of this
7	7	cherished young girl on May 24, 2022, at the age of 10; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Maite Rodriguez was born in Uvalde on
9	9	November 17, 2011, to Ana Isabel and Adrean Rodriguez; her
10	10	circle of loved ones included her brothers, Adrean, Caleb, and
11	11	Leo, as well as many other relatives who all adored her; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Sweet-natured, kind, and gracious, Maite was an
13	13	honor roll student who enjoyed learning about animals,
14	14	especially aquatic life; she was also dedicated to achieving her
15	15	goals, and she had set her sights on enrolling at Texas A&M
16	16	University-Corpus Christi on her way to becoming a marine
17	17	biologist; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Maite Rodriguez touched the lives of everyone
19	19	around her in ways beyond measure, and they will forever keep her
20	20	memory alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
21	21	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
22	22	Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Maite Yuleana
23	23	Rodriguez and extend deepest condolences to the members of her
24	24	family: to her mother, Ana Isabel Rodriguez; to her father,
25	25	Adrean Rodriguez; to her grandparents, Jeronimo and Gloria
26	26	Coronado and Pedro and Adreana Rodriguez; to her brothers,
27	27	Adrean, Caleb, and Leo Rodriguez; to her aunts, Maria Coronado
28	28	and Barbara Rodriguez; to her uncles, Hector Coronado, Chris
29	29	Coronado, Jeronimo Coronado, Juan Rodriguez, and Ernesto
30	30	Rodriguez; and to the countless others in Uvalde and beyond who
31	31	mourn her passing; and, be it further
32	32	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
33	33	prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
34	34	this day, it do so in memory of Maite Yuleana Rodriguez.
