55 WHEREAS, The family and friends of Maite Yuleana Rodriguez
66 of Uvalde suffered a heartbreaking loss with the passing of this
77 cherished young girl on May 24, 2022, at the age of 10; and
88 WHEREAS, Maite Rodriguez was born in Uvalde on
99 November 17, 2011, to Ana Isabel and Adrean Rodriguez; her
1010 circle of loved ones included her brothers, Adrean, Caleb, and
1111 Leo, as well as many other relatives who all adored her; and
1212 WHEREAS, Sweet-natured, kind, and gracious, Maite was an
1313 honor roll student who enjoyed learning about animals,
1414 especially aquatic life; she was also dedicated to achieving her
1515 goals, and she had set her sights on enrolling at Texas A&M
1616 University-Corpus Christi on her way to becoming a marine
1717 biologist; and
1818 WHEREAS, Maite Rodriguez touched the lives of everyone
1919 around her in ways beyond measure, and they will forever keep her
2020 memory alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
2121 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
2222 Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Maite Yuleana
2323 Rodriguez and extend deepest condolences to the members of her
2424 family: to her mother, Ana Isabel Rodriguez; to her father,
2525 Adrean Rodriguez; to her grandparents, Jeronimo and Gloria
2626 Coronado and Pedro and Adreana Rodriguez; to her brothers,
2727 Adrean, Caleb, and Leo Rodriguez; to her aunts, Maria Coronado
2828 and Barbara Rodriguez; to her uncles, Hector Coronado, Chris
2929 Coronado, Jeronimo Coronado, Juan Rodriguez, and Ernesto
3030 Rodriguez; and to the countless others in Uvalde and beyond who
3131 mourn her passing; and, be it further
3232 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
3333 prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
3434 this day, it do so in memory of Maite Yuleana Rodriguez.
