55 WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an unimaginable loss
66 with the tragic passing of Nevaeh Alyssa Bravo of Uvalde on May
77 24, 2022, at the age of 10; and
88 WHEREAS, Nevaeh Bravo was born in Uvalde on January 12,
99 2012, to loving parents Maria Magdalene Garcia and Juan Julian
1010 Bravo; she enjoyed the companionship of her two brothers, Juan
1111 and Xavier, and her sister, Monique, and she was also cherished
1212 by her grandparents and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and
1313 WHEREAS, Nevaeh was a caring and devoted daughter who
1414 always helped out her parents when they needed her; she was
1515 blessed with a wide circle of loved ones, and with her joyful
1616 spirit, she brought smiles to the faces of everyone she
1717 encountered; she liked playing softball and riding her bicycle as
1818 well as a horse owned by her grandfather's brother; her favorite
1919 colors were pink and purple, and she was also fond of drawing and
2020 watching and making TikTok videos with her brother and cousin;
2121 and
2222 WHEREAS, Although Nevaeh Bravo is profoundly missed by
2323 many people, she has left behind a legacy of love that the passage
2424 of time can never diminish; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
2626 Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Nevaeh Alyssa
2727 Bravo and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her
2828 family: to her parents, Maria Magdalene Garcia and Juan Julian
2929 Bravo; to her siblings, Juan Julian Bravo Jr., Xavier A. Bravo,
3030 and Monique Justin Bravo; to her grandparents, Maria Guadalupe
3131 Garcia, Guadalupe "Pio" Garcia, Esmeralda Bravo, and Juan Bravo;
3232 to her aunts, Marisela Garcia Gamez and her husband, Mario, and
3333 Yvonne White and her husband, James; to her uncles, Joe Garcia
3434 and his wife, Annett, Eddie Garcia, Lupe Garcia and his wife,
3535 Irma, Javiel Garcia and his wife, Alejandra, Jaime Bravo, Rumaldo
3636 "Maldo" Mesa, and Adrian Bravo and his partner, Kassandra; to her
3737 numerous cousins; and to the countless others in Uvalde and
3838 beyond who mourn her passing; and, be it further
3939 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
4040 prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
4141 this day, it do so in memory of Nevaeh Alyssa Bravo.
