11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 607
22 WHEREAS, Jordan Crum of Girl Scout Troop No. 7495 in White
33 Oak has attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, and this
44 accomplishment truly merits recognition; and
55 WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Crum successfully
66 met a series of requirements emphasizing community service,
77 personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership
88 skills; she also completed a Gold Award project, which involved
99 organizing a health fair at White Oak High School that offered
1010 interactive activities and informative resources to more than
1111 400 attendees; and
1212 WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging
1313 young women to explore career opportunities and to become more
1414 socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its
1515 participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged
1616 citizens and leaders; and
1717 WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Crum has
1818 demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest
1919 ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with pride
2020 on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
2121 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
2222 Legislature, hereby congratulate Jordan Crum on her receipt of
2323 the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes
2424 for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
2626 prepared for Ms. Crum as an expression of high regard from the
2727 Texas Senate.
