| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Jordan Crum of Girl Scout Troop No. 7495 in White |

| 3 | 3 | | Oak has attained the Girl Scout Gold Award, and this |

| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Crum successfully |

| 6 | 6 | | met a series of requirements emphasizing community service, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership |

| 8 | 8 | | skills; she also completed a Gold Award project, which involved |

| 9 | 9 | | organizing a health fair at White Oak High School that offered |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | interactive activities and informative resources to more than |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 400 attendees; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging |

| 13 | 13 | | young women to explore career opportunities and to become more |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | citizens and leaders; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Crum has |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with pride |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Jordan Crum on her receipt of |

| 23 | 23 | | the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes |
