11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 609
22 WHEREAS, Caitlyn Fabre of Longview has attained the Girl
33 Scout Gold Award, and this accomplishment truly merits
44 recognition; and
55 WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Fabre successfully
66 met a series of requirements emphasizing community service,
77 personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership
88 skills; as part of that process, she planned and implemented a
99 Girl Scout Gold Award project that involved a number of
1010 initiatives designed to raise community awareness about Sensory
1111 Processing Disorder, including building a tactile sensory wall
1212 for Longview World of Wonders, guiding creative workshops, and
1313 creating a YouTube channel; and
1414 WHEREAS, By fostering self-confidence and by encouraging
1515 young women to explore career opportunities and to become more
1616 socially conscious, the Girl Scout program is helping its
1717 participants to achieve their greatest potential as engaged
1818 citizens and leaders; and
1919 WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Fabre has
2020 demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest
2121 ideals of the Girl Scouts, and she may indeed reflect with pride
2222 on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
2424 Legislature, hereby congratulate Caitlyn Fabre on her receipt of
2525 the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes
2626 for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
2828 prepared for Ms. Fabre as an expression of high regard from the
2929 Texas Senate.
