| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Frisco Humane Society adopted out its 10,000th |

| 7 | 7 | | animal in January 2022, and this milestone provides a fitting |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | opportunity to honor this outstanding organization; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established in the early 2000s, the Frisco Humane |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Society is a nonprofit animal rescue organization that helps |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | provide temporary foster care and medical attention to homeless |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | animals until permanent homes can be found for them; in addition, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the organization strives to reduce animal overpopulation, neglect, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and abuse through spay and neuter programs and education |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | initiatives; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The Frisco Humane Society relies on the vital |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | contributions of its dedicated volunteers, who have worked |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | tirelessly to continue serving the community during the COVID-19 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | pandemic; in the future, the organization hopes to broaden its |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | impact by finding more local residents who can foster animals |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | long-term; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, For more than two decades, the Frisco Humane Society |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | has greatly benefited the community through its efforts to give |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | every animal a chance for a happy life with a loving family, and all |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | those associated with the organization may take pride in this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | recent achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | hereby congratulate the Frisco Humane Society on adopting out its |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | 10,000th animal and extend to the organization sincere best wishes |

| 30 | 30 | | for continued success; and, be it further |

| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
