55 R E S O L U T I O N
66 WHEREAS, The Frisco Humane Society adopted out its 10,000th
77 animal in January 2022, and this milestone provides a fitting
88 opportunity to honor this outstanding organization; and
99 WHEREAS, Established in the early 2000s, the Frisco Humane
1010 Society is a nonprofit animal rescue organization that helps
1111 provide temporary foster care and medical attention to homeless
1212 animals until permanent homes can be found for them; in addition,
1313 the organization strives to reduce animal overpopulation, neglect,
1414 and abuse through spay and neuter programs and education
1515 initiatives; and
1616 WHEREAS, The Frisco Humane Society relies on the vital
1717 contributions of its dedicated volunteers, who have worked
1818 tirelessly to continue serving the community during the COVID-19
1919 pandemic; in the future, the organization hopes to broaden its
2020 impact by finding more local residents who can foster animals
2121 long-term; and
2222 WHEREAS, For more than two decades, the Frisco Humane Society
2323 has greatly benefited the community through its efforts to give
2424 every animal a chance for a happy life with a loving family, and all
2525 those associated with the organization may take pride in this
2626 recent achievement; now, therefore, be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
2828 hereby congratulate the Frisco Humane Society on adopting out its
2929 10,000th animal and extend to the organization sincere best wishes
3030 for continued success; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for the Frisco Humane Society as an expression of high
3333 regard by the Texas Senate.
