1+SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 621
62 WHEREAS, For 38 years, Patti Sparkman of Mineola has
73 distinguished herself through her dedicated service as an
84 accounting clerk at Morton Salt Company; and
95 WHEREAS, A native of Grand Saline, Mrs. Sparkman earned an
106 associate's degree from Tyler Junior College in 1978; her father,
117 Edgar Earl Rodgers, was employed at Morton Salt Company for 43
12- years, and in October 1984, she followed in his footsteps when she
13- joined the company; she began her career as an accounting clerk, and
14- over the course of her tenure, she has overseen payroll and other
15- services and has helped manage personnel changes; in addition, she
16- has gone above and beyond to help her colleagues navigate software
17- and complete tasks; and
18- WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Sparkman enjoys the love
19- and support of her husband, Bobby, and she takes great pride in
20- their son, Keith, and granddaughter, Eloise; sustained by her deep
21- faith, she is an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she
22- has served as a teacher and clerk for many years; and
23- WHEREAS, Through her hard work, skill, and professionalism,
24- Patti Sparkman has greatly benefited Morton Salt Company, and she
25- is indeed deserving of special recognition for her contributions;
26- now, therefore, be it
27- RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
28- hereby honor Patti Sparkman for her 38 years of service to Morton
29- Salt Company and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future;
30- and, be it further
