	1	+	SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 623
6	2		WHEREAS, The Reverend Dr. K. Brian Davis Sr. is concluding
7	3		his service to Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall,
8	4		and the congregation's members are gathering on May 21, 2023, to
9	5		honor him for his invaluable contributions to the church; and
10		-	WHEREAS, On October 23, 2022, Dr. Davis celebrated his ~~fifth~~
11		-	pastoral anniversary with Mount Zion MBC; during his ~~exemplary~~
12		-	tenure, he has led the church with conviction and ~~compassion,~~
13		-	earning the respect and admiration of his ~~congregants as well as the~~
14		-	members of the greater community; and
	6	+	WHEREAS, On October 23, 2022, Dr. Davis celebrated his
	7	+	fifth pastoral anniversary with Mount Zion MBC; during his
	8	+	exemplary tenure, he has led the church with conviction and
	9	+	compassion, earning the respect and admiration of his
	10	+	congregants as well as the members of the greater community; and
15	11		WHEREAS, In addition to meeting the needs of his flock,
16	12		Dr. Davis has served as an educator with the Marshall Independent
17	13		School District; and
18		-	WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Dr. Davis has wholeheartedly
19		-	committed himself to advancing the mission of Mount Zion MBC, and
20		-	his leadership has provided valued inspiration and guidance to his
21		-	community of faith; now, therefore, be it
22		-	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
23		-	hereby commend the Reverend Dr. K. Brian Davis Sr. for his service
24		-	as pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall and
25		-	extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he
26		-	embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further
	14	+	WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Dr. Davis has
	15	+	wholeheartedly committed himself to advancing the mission of
	16	+	Mount Zion MBC, and his leadership has provided valued
	17	+	inspiration and guidance to his community of faith; now,

	19	+	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
	20	+	Legislature, hereby commend the Reverend Dr. K. Brian Davis Sr.

	22	+	in Marshall and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
	23	+	success as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life;
