| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Saad Nadeem celebrated a significant milestone in |

| 3 | 3 | | his life in May 2023, when he graduated from the University of |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | Houston; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating impressive commitment to his |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | studies, Mr. Nadeem graduated with a triple major in health, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | human nutrition and foods, and exercise science and a triple |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | minor in biology, business administration, and management and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | leadership; furthermore, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | while managing his challenging course load, and he was one of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | eight students from the College of Education recognized as |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | "banner bearers" at the commencement ceremony for their high |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | GPAs; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Among his many other accolades, Mr. Nadeem has |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | been honored with the university's Dean's Award, Legacy Award, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and Global Citizens Credential; he is also a recipient of the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | President's Volunteer Service Award gold medallion; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Nadeem was born in Pakistan, and he |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 5; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | he grew up in Clear Lake and earned two associate's degrees at San |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Jacinto College while in high school; a first-generation college |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | graduate, he has been accepted to a Texas medical school and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | plans to become a doctor; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | outstanding young man, and it is a pleasure to join his family and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | promise; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature, hereby congratulate Saad Nadeem on his graduation |
