| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |

| 3 | 3 | | recognize Judge Wayne Mack on his outstanding service as justice |
|---|
| 4 | 4 | | of the peace in Montgomery County; and |
|---|
| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Judge Mack took office as county judge on May 1, |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | 2014, and he has faithfully served the residents of Montgomery |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | County for nearly a decade; a graduate of Jackson College of |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Ministries and the Lone Star College Police Academy, he |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | previously served with the Conroe Police Department as a deputy |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | reserve constable and as the reserve unit supervisor; Judge Mack |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | is dedicated to upholding the law, and he presides over |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Montgomery County Precinct One with the highest standards of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | judicial conduct; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Shortly after his election to the bench, Judge |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Mack established a chaplaincy program of clergy and laity from |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | several faiths and denominations that assists law enforcement |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | officers who are working with community members during times of |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | crisis and tragedy; this program has greatly expanded over the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | past eight years and has provided spiritual guidance and solace |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | to countless individuals and law enforcement officials; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, An esteemed public servant and a highly respected |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | leader in the Montgomery County community, Judge Mack has given |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | generously of his time and energy to benefit numerous groups and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | causes, including Montgomery County Youth Services, the Women's |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Center, and Children's Safe Harbor; he has served in leadership |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | roles with such organizations as Montgomery County United Way, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | the Conroe Noon Lions Club, the Friendship Center, and the Conroe |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Family Young Men's Christian Association; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his more than 20 years as a peace |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | officer and justice of the peace, Judge Mack has worked |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | tirelessly to serve the families and youth of Montgomery County; |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | his efforts and accomplishments have provided an invaluable |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | benefit to the county and its residents, and he has made a |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | positive difference in the lives of many; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | Legislature, hereby commend Judge Wayne Mack on his |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | distinguished career and service to Montgomery County and extend |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | to him best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
