| 11 | 11 | | Coach Griffin with a state championship ring at the 2022 Texas Girls |

| 12 | 12 | | Coaches Association Honor Awards Banquet, held July 11 in |

| 13 | 13 | | Arlington; the ring commemorates the victory of the Holliday Lady |

| 14 | 14 | | Eagles at the UIL Cross Country State Championships on November 5, |

| 15 | 15 | | 2021; the title-winning performance followed a runner-up finish at |

| 16 | 16 | | the 2020 meet; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Coach Griffin began his tenure with Holliday High in |

| 18 | 18 | | 2000; currently, he oversees girls' sports as athletic coordinator, |

| 19 | 19 | | and he is head coach for boys' cross country and girls' track; |

| 20 | 20 | | moreover, he is an assistant girls' basketball coach and a geometry |

| 21 | 21 | | instructor; in 1997, he began his teaching and coaching career at |

| 22 | 22 | | Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls; and |

| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Glenn Griffin exemplifies the passion, dedication, |

| 24 | 24 | | and commitment to excellence that are the hallmarks of the best |

| 25 | 25 | | coaches, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition; now, |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
