SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 645
WHEREAS, When they married many years ago, Greg and Susan
Reno made a lifetime commitment to each other, and their mutual
trust has been amply rewarded, for they are celebrating their
50th wedding anniversary on May 18, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Greg and Susan were wed on May 18, 1973, in
Dallas; the world has changed considerably in the years of their
marriage, yet they have continued to cherish the shared values
that helped inspire their bond long ago; and
WHEREAS, Greg and Susan have contributed greatly to their
church and community through their involvement coaching youth
sports and volunteering with the Duncanville Police Department;
Greg, a sixth-generation Texan, is a member of the Sons of the
Republic of Texas, and Susan is affiliated with such lineage
groups as the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial
Dames of the 17th Century; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
love and devotion as together they have experienced the
challenges and joys that life brings; Greg and Susan continue to
treasure their wonderful family while enjoying their retirement
years; and
WHEREAS, Greg and Susan Reno are esteemed members of their
community, and their lasting love is a source of inspiration to
their many friends and loved ones; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Reno
on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
