| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A caring and generous life drew to a close with |

| 6 | 6 | | the passing of Diana Treviño Garcia of Laredo on May 3, 2023, at |

| 7 | 7 | | the age of 72; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of J. C. "Pepe" Treviño Jr. and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Rose Tarver Treviño, Diana Garcia was born on November 12, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1950, and grew up with five siblings, Annie, Pepe, Beto, Memo, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and Kiko; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Garcia attended the Ursuline Academy and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | continued her education at The University of Texas at Austin; she |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | enjoyed a successful career as a U.S. customs broker and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | certified public account and served as chief financial officer |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | for her family's businesses; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Garcia shared a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | richly rewarding marriage with her husband, Ricardo, and she took |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | great pride in her daughters, Rosanna, Marissa, and Sara |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Veronica; with the passing years, she had the privilege of seeing |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | her family grow to include her grandchildren, Jackson, Mateo, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Joaquin, and Camila; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Although Diana Garcia is greatly missed, this |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | beloved woman has left her loved ones with many cherished |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | memories, and she will forever hold a special place in their |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Diana Treviño |

| 29 | 29 | | Garcia and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her |

| 30 | 30 | | family: to her husband, Ricardo Garcia; to her daughters, Rosanna |

| 31 | 31 | | Lipscomb, Marissa Fuentes, and Sara Veronica Garcia; to her |
