SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 664
WHEREAS, Muenster State Bank is marking the 100th
anniversary of its founding in June 2023, and this occasion
provides a fitting opportunity to recognize the institution's
contributions to the Cooke County community; and
WHEREAS, Chartered on June 23, 1923, Muenster State Bank
has survived the Great Depression, World War II, the Great
Recession, and other world events that have had a negative
economic impact; today, the locally owned, independent bank
continues to help meet the needs of its customers by providing a
variety of financial services to individuals, businesses, and
organizations, and it has locations in both Muenster and
Gainesville; and
WHEREAS, Muenster State Bank has also given back to Cooke
County through its support of local charities, organizations,
and initiatives, and its employees contribute their time and
talents to many activities and civic events in the area; and
WHEREAS, Businesses that employ Texans and that contribute
to the local economy are important components of a prosperous
future, and Muenster State Bank is deserving of recognition for
the positive role it plays in the Cooke County community; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of
Muenster State Bank and extend to all those associated with the
bank sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Muenster State Bank as an expression of high regard
from the Texas Senate.
