| 2 | 2 | | WHEREAS, Muenster State Bank is marking the 100th |

| 3 | 3 | | anniversary of its founding in June 2023, and this occasion |

| 4 | 4 | | provides a fitting opportunity to recognize the institution's |

| 5 | 5 | | contributions to the Cooke County community; and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Chartered on June 23, 1923, Muenster State Bank |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | has survived the Great Depression, World War II, the Great |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Recession, and other world events that have had a negative |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | economic impact; today, the locally owned, independent bank |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | continues to help meet the needs of its customers by providing a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | variety of financial services to individuals, businesses, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | organizations, and it has locations in both Muenster and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Gainesville; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Muenster State Bank has also given back to Cooke |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | County through its support of local charities, organizations, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and initiatives, and its employees contribute their time and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | talents to many activities and civic events in the area; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Businesses that employ Texans and that contribute |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | to the local economy are important components of a prosperous |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | future, and Muenster State Bank is deserving of recognition for |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | the positive role it plays in the Cooke County community; now, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature, hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of |

| 25 | 25 | | Muenster State Bank and extend to all those associated with the |

| 26 | 26 | | bank sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
