 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A life lived with joy and enthusiasm drew to a close
 with the passing of MaryEllen Massey Moore on December 16, 2022, at
 the age of 89; and
 WHEREAS, The former MaryEllen Massey was born on December 31,
 1932, to Mel J. Massey and Anna E. Kondusky Massey; she was raised
 in Cleveland, Ohio, where she graduated from St. Stephen High
 School; and
 WHEREAS, This beloved woman was a talented athlete, and in
 her last decade, she was a member of the Row Tribe rowing team of
 Westlake; she set the world and national indoor record for the
 2,000-meter row event in the 85-to-89 age group; and
 WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Moore enjoyed the love
 and support of her husband, Vernon Moore, whom she met while playing
 golf; they became the proud parents of eight children, Anne,
 MaryClare, Patrick, Murray, Rita, Thomas, Daniel, and Adele, and
 shared a rewarding marriage that spanned half a century before
 Mr. Moore's death in 2006; with the passage of time, Mrs. Moore
 experienced the joy of welcoming 24 grandchildren and 9
 great-grandchildren into her treasured family; and
 WHEREAS, Although MaryEllen Moore is greatly missed, she has
 left her loved ones with many cherished memories, and she will
 forever hold a special place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
 hereby pay tribute to the life of MaryEllen Massey Moore and extend
 deepest condolences to the members of her family: to her brother,
 Ralph J. Massey; to her children, Anne Tauber and her husband,
 Richard, MaryClare Milner and her husband, Bob, Patrick J. Moore,
 Murray E. Moore and his wife, Patty, Rita Waggoner and her husband,
 Kyle, Thomas W. Moore and his wife, Claudia, Daniel J. Moore and his
 husband, John, and Adele Snyder and her husband, Eric; to her
 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her many other
 relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
 day, it do so in memory of MaryEllen Moore.
