5	6		BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
6	7		Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
7	8		suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
8		-	conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on
9		-	~~House~~ Joint Resolution 125 (creating the broadband
10		-	~~infrastructure fund to~~ expand high-speed broadband access and
11		-	~~assist in the financing of~~ connectivity projects) to consider and
12		-	~~take action on the following~~ matter:
13		-	Senate Rule 12.03(4) is suspended to permit the committee
14		-	to add text on a matter not included in either the house or senate
15		-	version of the joint resolution in proposed SECTION 1 of the
16		-	~~joint~~ resolution, by adding Section 49-d-16(f), Article III,
17		-	~~Texas~~ Constitution, to read as follows:

18	19		(f) The comptroller may transfer money from the fund to
19	20		another fund as provided by general law. The state agency that
20	21		administers the fund to which the money is transferred as
21	22		authorized by this subsection may use the money without further
22	23		appropriation only for the expansion of access to and adoption of
23	24		broadband and telecommunications services as provided by general
24	25		law.
25		-	Explanation: The added text would enable the comptroller
26		-	of public accounts to transfer money from the broadband
27		-	infrastructure fund to another fund, authorizing the state
28		-	agency administering the fund to which the money is transferred
29		-	to use it only for the expansion of access to and adoption of
30		-	broadband and telecommunications services.
