11 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 715
22 WHEREAS, Dale Craymer is retiring as president of the Texas
33 Taxpayers and Research Association on July 1, 2023, drawing to a
44 close an outstanding career with the organization that has
55 spanned nearly three decades; and
66 WHEREAS, Mr. Craymer joined TTARA in 1997, and he served as
77 chief economist before being promoted to president in 2009; under
88 his able leadership, the organization has served as an effective
99 advocate for responsible fiscal and tax policy in Texas and has
1010 provided its members with important information, analysis, and
1111 resources; and
1212 WHEREAS, Engaged in his professional community,
1313 Mr. Craymer is a member of the Business Tax Advisory Committee of
1414 Texas and the National Taxpayers Conference, and he has served on
1515 the executive boards of the National Association of State Budget
1616 Officers and the Council of Governors' Policy Advisors; before
1717 joining TTARA, he served as deputy director of the Office of
1818 Budget and Planning for Governor George Bush, as director of the
1919 Office of Budget and Planning for Governor Ann Richards, as
2020 fiscal analyst for Speaker of the House Gib Lewis, and as
2121 director of the Office of Revenue Estimating for Comptroller Bob
2222 Bullock; he holds a master's degree in economics from The
2323 University of Texas at Austin; and
2424 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Craymer enjoys the love
2525 and support of his wife, Theresa, and he takes great pride in
2626 their children, Kyle, Jason, and Lily; and
2727 WHEREAS, Dale Craymer has greatly benefited his fellow
2828 Texans through his skill, dedication, and professionalism, and
2929 he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent; now,
3030 therefore, be it
3131 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
3232 Legislature, hereby congratulate Dale Craymer on his
3333 retirement as president of the Texas Taxpayers and Research
3434 Association and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
3535 future; and, be it further
3636 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
3737 prepared for Mr. Craymer as an expression of high regard from the
3838 Texas Senate.
