SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 72
WHEREAS, Sarah Wilfley has been named to the president's
list at the University of North Texas; and
WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is reserved for those
students who maintain a grade point average of 4.0 while enrolled
in at least 12 hours of graded coursework in residence; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wilfley is currently working towards a
bachelor's degree in political science at UNT, and she serves as
president of a political philosophy discussion club; in
addition, she is an intern in Senator Drew Springer's office,
where her duties include communicating with constituents,
performing legislative research, and helping to find new
solutions to current challenges; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Casa Roble Fundamental High School
in Orangevale, California, Ms. Wilfley received an associate's
degree from Sierra College and previously attended California
State University, Sacramento; and
WHEREAS, Sarah Wilfley's achievements are a source of great
pride to her family and her school, and her hard work and pursuit
of excellence have opened the way to a bright and rewarding
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, hereby congratulate Sarah Wilfley on her selection
to the president's list at the University of North Texas and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Ms. Wilfley as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
