| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Sarah Wilfley has been named to the president's list |

| 7 | 7 | | at the University of North Texas; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is reserved for those |

| 9 | 9 | | students who maintain a grade point average of 4.0 while enrolled in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | at least 12 hours of graded coursework in residence; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Wilfley is currently working towards a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | bachelor's degree in political science at UNT, and she serves as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | president of a political philosophy discussion club; in addition, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | she is an intern in Senator Drew Springer's office, where her duties |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | include communicating with constituents, performing legislative |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | research, and helping to find new solutions to current challenges; |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of Casa Roble Fundamental High School in |

| 19 | 19 | | Orangevale, California, Ms. Wilfley received an associate's degree |

| 20 | 20 | | from Sierra College and previously attended California State |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | University, Sacramento; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Sarah Wilfley's achievements are a source of great |

| 23 | 23 | | pride to her family and her school, and her hard work and pursuit of |

| 24 | 24 | | excellence have opened the way to a bright and rewarding future; |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature |
