66 WHEREAS, Charity Ballmann, a nursing professional at Medical
77 City Healthcare in Little Elm, was named one of the 25 Outstanding
88 Texas Nurses for 2022 by the Texas Nurses Association; and
99 WHEREAS, This prestigious award recognizes registered nurses
1010 across the state who have distinguished themselves as resourceful
1111 and innovative frontline heroes during an unprecedented public
1212 health crisis while helping to ensure a culture of compassionate
1313 care at the institutions they serve; and
1414 WHEREAS, Ms. Ballmann was honored for her exemplary efforts
1515 to foster a positive working environment and for sharing
1616 information on best practices with other hospitals; under her
1717 leadership, her unit achieved the lowest COVID-19 mortality rates
1818 in the HCA Healthcare system as well as high patient experience
1919 scores; and
2020 WHEREAS, The Outstanding Texas Nurses award brings
2121 well-deserved recognition to individuals who have gone above and
2222 beyond to serve their patients and their communities, and it is a
2323 privilege to join in commending Charity Ballmann for her
2424 exceptional contributions to her profession; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature
2626 hereby congratulate Charity Ballmann on her selection as one of the
2727 Texas Nurses Association 25 Outstanding Texas Nurses for 2022 and
2828 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in her
2929 important work; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for
3131 Ms. Ballmann as an expression of high regard by the Texas Senate.
