Relating to training for public school teachers in the detection and education of students at risk for suicide or with other mental or emotional disorders and the inclusion of mental health concerns in coordinated school health efforts.
Relating to rules which insure that local independent school district selection of non-state adopted instructional materials to be purchased with state funds, is as accountable and transparent as the State Board of Education approval process for state-adopted instructional materials.
Relating to the establishment of a pilot program in certain school districts to develop computer science education and professional development opportunities.
Declaring that the order of business for the regular session of the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature is hereby determined to be that which is set forth in Section 5(b), Article 3, Texas Constitution, except that during the first 60 days of the regular session the House may, by an affirmative vote of four-fifths of its membership, consider a bill relating to public school finance in order to remedy identified constitutional infirmities.
