| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The tragic passing of Colton O'Neil Stults on |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | May 27, 2023, at the age of 17, has brought an incalculable loss |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | to all those who knew and loved him; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born on November 30, 2005, Colton Stults was |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | cherished by his parents, Tim and Kendra Stults, and his younger |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | sister, Sarah, as well as by an extended family that included his |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins; he was deeply devoted to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | his loved ones, and he also drew great strength from his faith; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, This exceptional young man had dreams of one day |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | becoming a physician at Arkansas Children's Hospital; an excellent |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | student, he earned a score of 33 on the ACT, which placed him in the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 98th percentile of high school students nationwide; he was admired |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | for his humility and quiet confidence, and he made an impression on |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | everyone around him with his wonderful sense of humor, his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | creativity, and his enthusiasm for life; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Although his passing leaves a tremendous void, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | those fortunate enough to have known Colton Stults will forever |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | remember the joy and love that he brought into their lives; now, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | of Colton O'Neil Stults and extend sincere sympathy to the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | members of his family: to his parents, Tim and Kendra Stults; to |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | his sister, Sarah Kate Stults; to his grandparents, Bill and Gail |

| 29 | 29 | | White and Martella Croft; to his aunts and uncles, Jeff and |
