| 6 | 6 | | those saddened by the death of Andy Frank McPherson of New Boston |

| 7 | 7 | | on May 31, 2023, at the age of 89; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Loren and Bernice McPherson, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Andy McPherson was born in Hooks on August 20, 1933; he grew up |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | with the companionship of 13 siblings, Loren, John, Floyd, Loyd, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | William, Boyce, Jackie, Dorothy, Bessie, Edna, James, Jimmy, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Clara; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. McPherson enjoyed |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | a rewarding career with Red River Army Depot before his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | retirement; a man of faith, he was a valued congregant of Faith |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Baptist Church in New Boston; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. McPherson benefited |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | from the love and support of his wife, the late Doris McPherson, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and he took great pride in his sons, Keith and Larry McPherson, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and in his daughter, Sherri Wagner, who preceded her father in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | death; over the years, he had the pleasure of welcoming into his |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | family eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Andy McPherson lived a life that was rich in the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | of Andy Frank McPherson and extend heartfelt sympathy to the |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | members of his family: to his sons, Keith McPherson and his wife, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Cindy, and Larry Wheeler McPherson; to his brothers, James G. |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | McPherson and Jimmy E. McPherson; to his sister, Clara Howeth; to |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to his other |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | relatives and friends; and, be it further |

| 34 | 34 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be |
