6+ WHEREAS, Family, friends, and military personnel gathered in
7+ Killeen on June 7, 2023, to honor retired U.S. Army Sergeant Tiffany
8+ Millender for her brave and dedicated service to her country and to
9+ celebrate her move into a Building Homes for Heroes house; and
710 WHEREAS, Sergeant Millender and her daughter received the
811 keys to their new mortgage-free home from Building Homes for
912 Heroes, a nonprofit that gifts newly built or modified homes to
10- wounded U.S. service members and their families; the
11- organization also provides financial planning services through
12- its collaboration with the National Association of Personal
13- Financial Advisors; and
14- WHEREAS, In 2004, Tiffany Millender joined the U.S. Army,
15- and she went on to rise to the rank of sergeant; her overseas
16- deployments included two tours in Iraq and one tour in
17- Afghanistan; while assigned to the 64th Brigade Support
18- Battalion in Iraq, she and her unit came under attack from enemy
19- fire that penetrated their operating base; and
13+ wounded U.S. service members and their families; the organization
14+ also provides financial planning services through its

25- campaign star, the Expert Marksmanship Badge with rifle bar,
26- and the Driver and Mechanic Badge with driver-wheeled vehicle
27- clasp; and
24+ retirement to conclude her distinguished 14-year military career;

2830 WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to the

31- for Heroes is helping to award Sergeant Tiffany Millender the
