| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, During his exemplary senior season, Mr. Gholston |

| 9 | 9 | | anchored the Jaguars' pitching staff and helped guide the team to |

| 10 | 10 | | the 6A state championship; in the regional final against Denton |

| 11 | 11 | | Guyer, he delivered a clutch performance, throwing 6.2 scoreless |

| 12 | 12 | | innings as Flower Mound clinched a trip to the state tournament; |

| 13 | 13 | | over the course of the season, he struck out 111 batters in 87 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | innings while posting an impressive 0.96 ERA and a 12-2 record; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ranked as one of the top 400 prospects in the nation |

| 16 | 16 | | by Baseball America, Mr. Gholston has committed to pitch for the |

| 17 | 17 | | University of Oklahoma Sooners; he has further distinguished |

| 18 | 18 | | himself during his high school years as a member of the Flower Mound |

|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has proven himself to |

| 21 | 21 | | be a gifted and dedicated student-athlete, and he may take |

| 22 | 22 | | justifiable pride in his accomplishments as he looks forward to a |

| 23 | 23 | | future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
