| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |

| 6 | 6 | | of Stacy Taliaferro Parker, who passed away on May 29, 2023, at the |

| 7 | 7 | | age of 52; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Austin on July 9, 1970, the former Stacy Dee |

| 9 | 9 | | Taliaferro was the daughter of Jackie and Rebecca Taliaferro and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | grew up with the companionship of two brothers, Brett and Blake; she |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | moved with her family to Marble Falls when she was six years old, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and she went on to graduate from Marble Falls High School; later, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | she attended Baylor University; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A dedicated civil servant, Mrs. Parker enjoyed a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | rewarding career with the office of the Texas Comptroller of Public |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Accounts that spanned more than three decades; over the years, she |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | endeared herself to her many colleagues; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Parker's brother Blake introduced her to the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | love of her life, Shea Parker; the couple married on |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | October 23, 1999, and they were blessed with three children, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Bradley, Rylie, and Abigael; admired for her warmth and optimism, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Mrs. Parker was deeply devoted to her family and was always ready to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | offer guidance and sage advice; throughout her life, she was |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | sustained by a deep and abiding faith; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Stacy Parker brightened the world around her with |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | her kindness, her generosity of spirit, and her infectious laugh, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | knew her; now, therefore, be it |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 30 | 30 | | Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
