| 14 | 15 | | governance; the couple contributed significantly to the |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | foundation's capital campaign, and their generosity has been |

| 16 | 17 | | acknowledged at TPPF's Austin headquarters with the naming of the |

| 17 | 18 | | Hall Family Liberty Café and Hall Family Capitol Overlook Terrace |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hall has a long history of entrepreneurship; in |

| 20 | 21 | | 1959, he co-founded Condor Operating Company with his brothers, and |

| 21 | 22 | | he continues to serve as general manager of the independent oil and |

| 22 | 23 | | gas operator; he is also celebrated in the auto racing world as the |

| 23 | 24 | | progenitor of net downforce, a concept that led to victory by his |

| 24 | 25 | | Chaparral team at the Indianapolis 500; today, net downforce is |

| 25 | 26 | | incorporated into Formula 1 vehicles and every major racing car, as |

| 26 | 27 | | well as most high-performance road cars; Mr. Hall has also won |

| 27 | 28 | | multiple national championships as a driver, and he is a member of |

| 28 | 29 | | the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and Motorsports Hall of Fame of |

| 30 | 31 | | WHEREAS, From the early years of their marriage, Mrs. Hall |

| 31 | 32 | | was very involved in the Chaparral team, providing invaluable |

| 32 | 33 | | assistance; her myriad responsibilities ranged from reception, |

| 33 | 34 | | bookkeeping, and travel planning to racetrack timing and scoring |

| 34 | 35 | | and pit board communications to drivers; and |
|---|
| 35 | 36 | | WHEREAS, Through their diligence, spirit of innovation, and |

| 36 | 37 | | exceptional dedication to high ideals, Jim and Sandy Hall have |

| 37 | 38 | | earned the respect and admiration of innumerable people, and they |

| 38 | 39 | | are truly deserving of this prestigious accolade; now, therefore, |
