| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth G. Alford has distinguished herself in her |

| 7 | 7 | | Representative Terri Leo-Wilson during the 88th Legislative |

|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Alford has provided |

| 10 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 11 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Ms. Alford attended the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Barbers Hill Independent School District in Mont Belvieu, and she |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | is currently studying government and pre-law in the liberal arts |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | honors program at The University of Texas at Austin; she has |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | established an impressive record of leadership and civic |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | engagement, including founding and serving as president of Girls |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Doing Good; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Elizabeth Alford has performed her duties as a |

| 22 | 22 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
